my dell latitude keeps crashing i may need to replace the hard disk and I think i may need to create an 'image' whats a good program to create an image with? can anyone give a short step by step guide to replacing the hard drive. i belive crashing could be because of many reasons,,,



and replacing hard disk could not be the only solution

does you hard disk develops BAD SECTORS??

or its just because of some Virus?



regarding hard disk image -- USE any GHOST IMAGE s/w

after creating a ghost image, tranfer that image to some storage device ( external drive )



once you are done with this process, you can replace your hard disk by just opening your laptop ( u need simple screw driver for that )

Best way is install new OS on the new hard disc and then restore all data to the new by external USB box.

because If you make images for the old one and restore to the new disc I think the problem are still.
