Is there a way to directly divert data from the serial port to an application.?

I want to display google map with the position(latitude and longitude) obtained from the UART. The data obtained should directly go to the application and display the map correctly. Is there any script that i should write for this or is there any tool alreadyIs there a way to directly divert data from the serial port to an application.?

Do you realise that there are MANY various formats/encodings/encryptions/compressio鈥?that the data can arrive in (on your serial port)?



On the other hand if you KNOW how to get the info that you need (latitude and longitude) from your serial port than all you will need to do is to pass these values to google maps as part of URL request...
