Questions about google latitude?

Hey guys, not sure how many of you have heard of google latitude but I am looking for some very specific answers for a project I am doing.



I am having trouble finding out who actually has ownership of the information transmitted over the service.

Is it google or some other company? or is it the individual?



Also, what policies are they bound by?

Is this just google's privacy policy? or what?

Google is a search engine based site.It is obvious that it is a business company like Microsoft,Yahoo etc.It has its own product like adsense,Chrome(browser) etc.Its main office at california,US.
