Google Earth Latitude/longitude help?

I'm doing this homework assignment for my geography class and the teacher wants me to explain how on google earth the latitude and longitude lines differ (under grid in View). But I'm not really sure how they differ.

Help?

Thanks!Google Earth Latitude/longitude help?
There is no actual difference between the latitude and longitude lines in terms of what the grid lines look like. It is easy to figure out which is what though. Just make sure that the compass feature (top right of the screen) has North at the top. This is the default setting when you open Google earth. The latitude lines will be the ones going left to right on your screen and will measure north or south from the equator. They will also be labelled N or S (e.g. N51掳28鈥?8鈥? The number of degrees will never exceed 90 (the geographic north and south poles). The longitude lines will run from the top to the bottom of your screen and measure distances East or West from the Prime Meridian. The Prime Meridian is the 0 degree reference for longitude and passes through the Royal Observatory in Greenwich England. You will always see these lines labeled E or W (e.g. E 120掳14鈥?0鈥?. Longitudes can go from 0 to 180 degrees
