Dell latitude d520 slows down and freezes during boot up?

when ever i click on a profile. sometimes i wont even boot up or it will get to the desktop screen but when i try to do anything like go to google chrome or open up a folder then it freezes...even when i try to do a virus scan. it wont even open up task manager when i does this. it just seems to go really slow even though it is a windows xp with 2 gigs of ramDell latitude d520 slows down and freezes during boot up?
Must be a virus...u should scan ur computer. If it fails, then backup any important data and format your Hard Drive. Then reinstall windows and all other software and insert back those files. Windows should be a lot faster. Please buy the latest antivirus as soon as you can.Do this step and scan ur computer immediately.Dell latitude d520 slows down and freezes during boot up?
Registry issues, sounds like a lot of old junk files in the registry and temp files , download and install ccleaner http://www.piriform.com , run disk cleanupde-fragg,under control panel %26gt;internet options click delete to delete browsing history and any leftover temp files and infected cookies
